Third time lucky for Scotland seven

A Ruaridh Jackson try helped Scotland end the day with a win
Scotland ended the first day of the Dubai Sevens with a 19-17 win over Zimbabwe.

It was a welcome victory after a defeats to England and France. Glasgow's Ruaridh Jackson went over for a try in the Zimbabwe match.

Head coach Stephen Gemmell said: "The boys really dug in and played well. It's a great lift for the team to get a win ahead of tomorrow.

"I'm really encouraged by the progress that the team has made over the three games today."

You can watch the action from the Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens on BBC1 tomorrow.

Wow, just shows how crap we are when we are hailing a 2 point victory against that mighty rugby nation of Zimbabwe!!

So just how bad are the French then, who lost to Zimbabwe by the same score I believe.

Exactly what a stupid comment if you had been at the 7s tournament you would have seen what a good sevens team Zimbabwe actually are as they are very quick!!
