Gregor Townsend
Head coach Gregor Townsend has issued a thank you message to Glasgow Warriors supporters.

Speaking on glasgowwarriors.org Gregor said: "On behalf of everyone at Glasgow Warriors, from myself, Shade Munro and Matt Taylor, managing director Nathan Bombrys, captain Al Kellock and all the players in the squad, together with all the staff at Scotstoun Stadium, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support throughout the season.

"We were all disappointed not to win on Saturday but I’m really proud of the way the players performed. We have an excellent group of players, it's a squad that is hungry to improve and I know they'll be even more determined to win silverware next season.

"You’ve supported the team home and away in big numbers and everyone at the club really appreciates it.

"Thanks to you, we’ve been able to re-invest in our playing pool, to ensure that we are not only playing an exciting brand of rugby, but to also help bring success to this club.

"One of my key targets when I joined was to ensure that we retained our core group of players and I’m delighted that we’ve been able to do just that, as well as bring Richie Vernon back to the club.

"We have a number of exciting, young players coming through and I’m sure we’ll see more from the likes of Mark Bennett, Jonny Gray, Adam Ashe and Finn Russell next season.

"We’ve had some memorable victories at Scotstoun, against teams such as Ulster, Munster, Ospreys and Northampton. The atmosphere at the ground was fantastic and we’ll be doing all we can to produce many more nights like those.

"Have a good summer and we look forward to seeing you all next season, if not before."
