The Scotland international suffered a worrying knee injury against Scarlets, with initial fears that he would require further surgery. However, those concerns were later eased.
Rowe told Scotland Rugby News: "Yeah, it was nice to be back, considering I thought I was going to be out for a good bit longer than that. It was good to be back after six weeks. In the Scarlets game, I felt a pop in the knee, the same side as my ACL knee, so I was kind of fearing the worst. Never felt unstable, but then it came back as a grade three, so I was kind of like, 'oh no, it's going to have to be surgery.'
"Then I went to London and the surgeon was like, 'no, I don't think it needs surgery'. And then I've trended very well, kind of ever since the game. And then, yeah, I've been pushing the physios to try and get me back a couple of weeks early and, yeah, back two weeks early and feeling good."
