Glasgow showed early intent and struck first after eight minutes when Briar McNamara reacted quickest to a loose pass, flicking the ball forward before finishing well on the line.
The visitors stayed in touch during a frantic opening half and, despite Clovers stretching clear and securing their bonus point midway through the period, Glasgow finished the half strongly to keep themselves firmly in the contest.
On 36 minutes, Poppy Mellanby made a decisive break against the run of play and offloaded to Nicole Flynn, who touched down to reignite hopes. That momentum carried into stoppage time as Emily Coubrough crossed for another try, with Ceitidh Ainsworth adding the conversion to send Glasgow into the break just five points adrift at 24-19.
The second half proved tougher as Clovers pulled away with a flurry of tries, but Glasgow continued to compete and were rewarded with a losing bonus point.
Holland Bogan showed some quick thinking to capitalise on a defensive lapse to score a try, before Flynn claimed her second of the afternoon by powering over late on to round off Glasgow’s scoring.
While the result leaves Glasgow with just one win from four matches so far, their attacking flashes, resilience, and ability to trouble Clovers for long spells offered encouragement as the competition continues.
