Venter, who helped Glasgow lift the URC title in 2024, continues to speak highly of the work done by Franco Smith at Scotstoun. Since taking charge in 2022, Smith has built a strong reputation for bringing through emerging players and turning them into top-level performers.
A number of academy prospects have flourished under his guidance, going on to become regular internationals for Scotland - including Jamie Dobie, Gregor Hiddleston and Max Williamson - while Gregor Brown earned selection for the British and Irish Lions this summer.
With financial pressures increasing as senior players secure more lucrative deals elsewhere, Glasgow are expected to lean more heavily on youth next season. Venter, however, sees that as a strength rather than a weakness.
"I think at the moment, Glasgow is the best place in the world for young players," Venter told Scotland Rugby News.
"You want to be there because everyone's playing such good rugby. The platform that Glasgow gives players at this moment, if you are young and you want to be the best in the world then there’s no better place.
"Everyone's getting offered bigger contracts somewhere else and some are going. But the coaches and everyone that made them so good is still there. And the system is there and everyone knows the system - it's simple and it's easy to play in."
Now playing in France with CA Brive, Venter still follows Glasgow closely and rarely misses a match. He believes their entertaining style sets them apart.
"We still watch every weekend," he admitted. "I don't miss the Glasgow games. There's a lot of rugby that's on the weekends and I don't like to watch teams that aren't exciting. After the game, you are just like 'what the hell was that?'
"Glasgow are never one of those teams. You always get that brilliance that you can see the guys are in tune, they play together, they play for each other. And it's fun to watch."
Glasgow's campaign had been on track before a run of three straight defeats saw them exit the Champions Cup and lose their grip on top spot in the URC.
They return to action next weekend against Cardiff Rugby, and Venter remains confident that Smith's side can recover and challenge for silverware.
"You can never bet against Franco," said Venter. "He always has a plan. He will take the three losses and just turn it around as fuel for the end of the season.
"The guys will surely be just more hungry now to win it again. You can never write them off just because the tour in South Africa didn't go as planned and because they lost against Toulon. I think the season is still open."
