Glasgow Warriors academy players Joe Roberts and Dylan Cockburn have been named for Saturday's Arnold Clark Premiership fixtures, with pre-season training squad member Gregor Johnston also in action.

Roberts starts at hooker for Ayr as the reigning champions welcome GHA to Millbrae. The Scotland U20 captain features as Ayr look to respond to last weekend's defeat at Heriot's.

Cockburn is among the Melrose replacements for their trip to Edinburgh Accies at Raeburn Place.

Johnston, who featured in Glasgow's pre-season squad after signing a one-month training contract, starts at scrum-half for Glasgow Hawks away to Kelso at Poynder Park.

All three matches kick off at 3.00pm on Saturday 3 October.
