Glasgow's Dave Millard has had to drop out of Scotland's squad for the IRB USA Sevens in Los Angeles on Saturday and Sunday.

Dave suffered a hamstring tear while making his debut in the squad in the IRB AXA International Sevens in Wellington, New Zealand, last weekend.

Peter Gallagher, the Scotland sevens squad manager, said: "David is absolutely devastated. He was really beginning to look the part at this level, and we were delighted with his performances in Wellington - his first international tournament."
