The Queensland A prop plays his club rugby for Easts. The Daily Telegraph reports that Lloyd is expected to be registered for Heineken Cup duties.
Despite his name, Lloyd seems to be qualified for Wales but not Scotland, and arrived yesterday from Brisbane where he has been on the fringe of the Reds Super 12 side. "The opportunity arose. Did I want to go to Scotland, so why not? Give it a go," the 23-year-old said yesterday. "I just want to play as well as I can and learn a different style of rugby.
"The style of play is very different over here and is more focussed on forward play, which is great for me as I can play on both sides of the scrum although I prefer loosehead."
Warriors head coach Hugh Campbell said: "Lloyd's not only got strong set piece play but he's very dynamic and quick in the loose and that fits in well with the kind of rugby we're trying to play here at Glasgow."
