Injured Lloyd has returned home to Queensland
Glasgow Warriors have announced that Australian prop, Lloyd Campbell McBride has left the club and returned to Australia.

Lloyd, who was drafted into the squad as short term injury cover for Ben Prescott, has suffered a recurrence of an old sternum injury during training and as a result has withdrawn from Glasgow Warriors and returned to Queensland.

Glasgow coach Hugh Campbell told The Herald that it had not cost anything to bring Lloyd over, because his short-term contract was dependent on being medically cleared to play, but his departure has left a hole. "All the medical opinion was that he would be fit, and even though he has suffered a recurrence of the problem, that is still the case and there is still the possibility of bring him back if we need him," said Hugh.

He added that they are investigating the possibility of recruiting another prop but believes that European Rugby Cup Ltd rules will debar that.
