Gloucester game moved to Friday night

Glasgow Warriors pre-season game away to Gloucester Rugby has been switched to Friday 26 August (ko 7.45pm), following the release of the English Premiership fixtures earlier today.

The game at Kingsholm Stadium was originally due to be played on Saturday 27 August.

But with Gloucester now playing Leicester Tigers in the first game of the Aviva Premiership season on the evening of Friday 2 September, Gloucester have requested that the game with Gregor Townsend's side is moved to allow their squad a full seven day turnaround and maximum preparation time.

A Gloucester Rugby spokesperson said: "Gloucester Rugby would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and express our gratitude to Glasgow Warriors for accommodating the change."

The Warriors will also play Harlequins at Twickenham Stoop on Saturday 20 August (ko 4.00pm).
