Nathan Ross was one of Glasgow's stand-out performers last season with a string of impressive displays.

Nathan has played for the Scotland Development XV against Tonga in November 2001, and he then went on to appear in all but one of Scotland A's seven matches that season, scoring a try against the Welsh.

Nathan later joined the Scotland squad in North America after the start of the 2002 tour, playing in the midweek match before each of the two Tests. He started playing rugby only at the age of 17 but quickly gained recognition in the sport and represented Australia Schoolboys in the under-18 and under-19 groups and Queensland at under-21-level.

A product of the acclaimed Australian Institute of Sport, Nathan joined the Queensland Reds in season 1997-98. He signed for Glasgow Rugby for the start of season 2001-2002. Nathan hails from a sporting family with his father and brother both having represented Australian Services at rugby and his sister representing Queensland at netball. He qualifies for Scotland through his grandfather, Donald Ross, who was born in Dunfermline.
