George Horne scored Glasgow's try

Warriors now proceed to the knockout stages where they will meet Stormers at Scotstoun.

Scotland centre Sione Tuipulotu made his long-awaited return from injury for Glasgow and impressed before being replaced at the break.

George Horne went over for Glasgow's try.

Glasgow head coach Franco Smith told Premier Sports: "We're disappointed with the result definitely but with the effort I'm super proud.

"I'm really proud with the way we've gone about our business today and I thought we could have won this one."

On Tuipulotu's half-time substitution: "It's his first game back, we always intended to play him for just about a half anyway.

"He had a little bit of tightness around the legs, nothing serious. We just decided to make the call at half-time."

On a quarter-final against the Stormers, Smith said: "We know that they'll come to Scotstoun having missed out there last year so a big couple of weeks ahead for us.

"Looking forward to a last game at home."
