In an interview with Iain Morrison in the Sunday Herald, Glenn Metcalfe questions the progress the Glasgow squad have made in improving their own skills.

The players keep a training diary of their goals and achievements before and after training sessions. Despite the coaches claiming that progress has been made, Metcalfe seems less sure. "We are now at game 18 of the season and the coaches look back at early notes seeing the same things written down, and the progress made is minimal.

"Areas we need to work on have been highlighted but our progress in regards to improving these has not been good enough," he said.

"I don't blame the coaches, who have worked hard to put the plan into place. We try hard, we really want to do well, but it's our individual skill execution that's been letting us down.

"If everyone's below par, then the team's consistency levels dip."
