The New Zealand-born centre is currently training with the struggling Hughenden outfit and has so far taken part in two games. However, Searancke wants Naufahu to show he can fit into his squad away from the pitch as well as he bids to foster a greater team spirit.
The Glasgow coach has identified a lack of leadership and togetherness as a root problem in his side's slump. Searancke told the Evening Times: "I will need to see Joe play in another couple of matches. I also want to see how he shapes up off the park. We want to be a close-knit organisation from top to bottom. Like an extended family."
Searancke criticised the attitude of players he inherited from previous coach Richie Dixon: "There are some guys who don't know the difference between being a professional and being a paid rugby player. It's how leadership is developed and right now we are suffering from a lack of leaders on the park
