Hilton's international career at an end?

It looks like the long international career of Glasgow prop, David Hilton, may be at an end. Hilts was not named in the 22 players selected for the Scotland A international against Italy A this weekend.

Comments from the Scotland A coach, Hugh Campbell, seem to indicate that the decision may have come from Hilts himself. Campbell said: "Dave has been a great stalwart for Scotland but probably feels that the modern game at international level has changed, and is now a big ask of him."

Hilts recently became available for Scotland again after completing his residency period and played as a replacement in the Scotland victory over South Africa late last year. With his contract at Glasgow up at the end of the season, and, with Mattie Stewart and Gordon McIlwham linked to a move to Hughenden, it seems that the future of one of Glasgow's most popular players is in doubt.
