Scotland partly made up for a disappointing first day at the IRB World Series Cardiff Sevens to overcome France and take the Bowl trophy.

After a good draw with Australia, Scotland went down to Italy and eventual winners South Africa in the pool stage.

Glasgow's was impressive throughout the tournament, running in eight tries from all over the field. Reid played on the wing and whenever he was involved he looked dangerous, running with power, pace and confidence. Hopefully the Scottish coaches will have made note of his displays as these qualities will be needed at the World Cup in Australia.

"I feel a lot more confident now playing on the wing in sevens," Reid admitted.

Glasgow target, Sean Lamont, also showed up well while former Warrior, Ian McInroy was outstanding in the final against France.
