Fergus Thomson called into Glasgow squad

Fergus Thomson
Glasgow have called up Glasgow Hawks' Scotland Under 21 hooker Fergus Thomson for this Friday's match against Celtic Warriors at Bridgend.

Fergus was on the bench for last week's game with Leinster and was called in as back-up for seven games last season, playing as a substitute in the Heineken Cup match against Sale Sharks at Heywood Road in January.

Glasgow's Graeme Beveridge may not have played a part in Scotland's World Cup matches so far, but he's made a big impression on Marty Hulme, the squad's fitness specialist. "If we could have 22 of him from the mental point of view, it would be fantastic," said Hulme.

* Glasgow's Jon Petrie missed training with Scotland's World Cup squad today due to a stomach virus.
