Glasgow Hawks wanted their allocated pro Graeme Morrison to turn out for them
Glasgow Hawks have hit out at the SRU's policy on allowing professional players to be drafted into club sides.

Hawks have moved 12 points clear at the top of BT Scotland Premiership One this season without the help of any professionals.

However, the Old Anniesland outfit are upset with the game's governing body for allowing rival clubs to pick pro players and for fielding foreign imports.

Hawks haven't fielded any of their allocated pros this season, despite asking to play Glasgow centre Graeme Morrison. In contrast Calvin Howarth was released to play for Boroughmuir.

In todays Herald Hawks' manager David Williams said: "We're totally fed up with the machinations and double dealing emanating from Murrayfield, so we have decided to go public on the matter."
