Scotland must toughen up - Cammy

Cammy Mather thinks Scotland must toughen up their act if they are to compete with England in Saturday's Calcutta Cup match at Murrayfield (ko 5.30pm).

Cammy felt Scotland were unable to secure quick ball and put the blame squarely at the feet - or the lack of their use - of the Scottish forwards.

"We're too nice," Cammy said. "We get bullied by a lot of teams and need to get a harder edge about us. We're going to have to front up against England or it could be 50 or 60 points. That is a real danger.

"Whether we're not accurate in our clearing or our ball presentation, I'm sure Todd and Matt will have all the answers for us this afternoon," said Cammy. "However, it's something we can only get better at and it was one of our problems in the World Cup as well."
