Anderson's new Scotland role

In today's Sunday Herald, Iain Morrison reports that former Glasgow assistant coach, Steve Anderson, has joined Matt Williams' team as defence coach.

Anderson left Glasgow after a short but controversial period as assistant to Kiwi Searancke. In Anderson's time at Glasgow relations between the coaches and players broke down to such a degree that there were rumours of a players' revolt in protest at the regime.

Despite an absence of an official announcement, Anderson now appears to have responsibility for Scotland's national squad defence.
