Scott can go all the way to the top

Scott Lawson was outstanding against Ulster
Hugh Campbell has tipped Scott Lawson to challenge Gordon Bulloch for the Scotland hooker's jersey, after his man of the match performance in Glasgow's 27-25 Celtic League victory over top of the table Ulster at Hughenden on Friday night.

Scott went over for the third Glasgow try — but it was his all-round performance which pleased his coach. Hugh said: "With Gordon away on Six Nations duty, Scott is certainly making his presence felt. I firmly believe he is one of the very few hookers who can challenge Gordon for a place in the Scotland set-up."

Glasgow had to withstand a late onslaught from Ulster and the coach was quick to praise his team saying: "We lost two tries at the end but the overall commitment in the tackle was excellent.

"The efforts of Sean Lamont and Alan Bulloch were as good as you will see anywhere at any time. There was a lot of self-belief, even though we were clear underdogs. This team can go anywhere."

All of the team deserve praise for last night's performance, but Lawson really stood out. He was a great Man of the Match - though sadly didn't get a presentation/interview in the beer tent!

To be honest on previous showings I had't thought much of Scott, but if he gets a chance to play like that over the next few games don't bother bringing Bulloch back. Scott played an absolute stormer. I hope his display gives his team mates as much inspiration as he gave the crowd on Friday
