Celtic League at a crossroads

Celtic League officials meeting today to discuss the future of the competition will be told by chief executive, Keith Grainger, that they must make a long-term commitment to a credible Celtic League structure if it is to achieve its potential.

In today's Herald Kevin Ferrie looks at ways in which the Celtic League can be made an attractive product for broadcasters and sponsors.

Grainger believes the absence of a long term plan for the Celtic League makes it virtually impossible to attract financial support. It is claimed that a period of three years stability is the very least a backer would need to provide major sponsorship.
