Roly Reid was on the scoresheet for the Lions
A try by Roly Reid helped the Lions defeat the Blue Bulls 36-33 in a thrilling Currie Cup game at Ellis Park in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Roly's try came after Lions' captain and fellow loose forward Wikus van Heerden stole the ball at a ruck. Jorrie Muller, on the wing, kicked ahead. Roly raced clear from the cover defence, collected the favourable bounce and went over for the try.

Despite going down to a motivated pride of Lions with the last kick of the game, the defending champion Bulls stayed on top of the standings.

Rory McKay's Manly Marlins shocked defending champions, Eastwood, with a 35-12 Tooheys Cup victory at the Manly Oval.

The game was on Sky, and his try seemed pretty good.
