Scotland A team back on the SRU agenda

Sean Lamont forced his way into the Scotland team
The SRU are believed to be planning to reintroduce the Scotland A rugby team after unearthing several Test players on the tour to Australia.

Today's Herald reports that although the A-team was axed two years ago, mainly to save money, the need for it was underlined by the emergence of players such as Glasgow's Sean Lamont and Graeme Morrison, who made their test debuts having travelled for development purposes in what was an extended tour party.
