Where does the cash come from?

Today's Herald reports that Scottish rugby does not have the money to support three professional teams.

The confession from Fred McLeod, the SRU's interim chairman, and comes just a week after the pro teams were promised SRU support for three years.

McLeod has not been prepared to explain how that will be financed, other than saying the SRU are merely "taking the same pie and dividing it up differently".

Same as this season they will just keep taking players out the club game week by week on the cheap worst of both worlds

Spot on Hugh. Sad but true, the club/pro game relationship is going to be even worse next season.

Just remembered that The Celtic League AGM will see new rules come out for club players being drafted into the Celtic League games next season.

If that's the case then maybe next season is going to be alot tougher than we had originally thought.
