Big day for Sean and Rory Lamont

Sunday will be a big day for Sean and Rory Lamont and family
Rory Lamont makes his debut on the wing alongside older brother Sean and the 22-year-old Glasgow player is looking forward to fulfilling the dream of both his mother and himself in what will be a great family day at Murrayfield.

Rory said: "My mum wanted to see Sean and I play for Scotland together and for it to happen is amazing.

"I've spoken to both my parents and they're delighted and they will be there to see us.

"But it's been a dream for me too, I've reached where I wanted to get to.

"I wouldn't say I have caught up with Sean but yet I'm a step closer. He's set the standard for me to get to and it's great to have him here with me."

Maybe this is the good way, to put young new guys on the pitch to learn the international level.
For his brother Sean, i didn't see the summer tour in Australia, but i saw Sean making mistakes because he is still young and not used to the top top level.
To build a strong team is very long, and i think it's better to take young scots than players from the South Emisphere (around 28 years old to 30), because the locals can stay longer.
Even if wonderful players like the Leslie's and Metcalfe injected a good rugby in Scotland.

But now, i think it's the time to build with scottish rugby men to attract them to reach the top level.
It will lift the game.
If not they will be all the time in a corner.
It must be frustrating to dream about playing for the blue jersey, and just see guys coming without a good scottish accent, and not motivating for a future generation.

Ireland and Wales can provide their best players, i don't see why Scotland couldn't do the same.

Maybe i'm boring with my sentmental speach...
I love so much Scotland and rugby, that i would like to see happy guys and not so much fighting in the SRU.

Best of luck for sunday

Well said Hughes! (except many Scots do not have "a good Scottish accent" since they live abroad! ..that doesn't make them anything less than pure Scottish!...and I don't accept that the SH guys are not just as Scottish anyway!)
I saw Sean make many mistakes for Scotland, but I also saw brilliant displays for Glasgow before that, which brought the selection. Rory is there on merit also..

Good luck to the Lamonts..do us proud guys!
