Kevin has played 32 times for Canada but didn't receive a cap until a moving ceremony in the interval between the two Churchill Cup Finals at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on Sunday. Kevin was one of twenty-four former and current international players who received their caps in recognition of their having played rugby for Canada.
Rugby Canada has created Canadian caps, made with the intention of presenting, or sending, every Canadian international who has ever stepped on the field for Canada, a cap. The ceremony in Edmonton on Sunday marked the first public presentation of these caps.
Former Canadian Senior team manager Don Whidden, who has managed to locate nearly every living Canadian international in order that they can receive their caps, each of which will have been embroidered with their name, the date and the opponent they played in their first international appearance.
