"Avoiding those lapses is something that we've looked at a lot," admits Kevin in today's edition of The Times. "It's definitely been the story of last season and the start of this; not being overwhelmed in terms of the actual rugby played, but in terms of the eventual results. We feel we've got something to prove to European rugby, yes, but it's more about proving something to ourselves, that we can go out there and win these close encounters.
"We're back to those little one per cents again, when you wonder how we can go out and play so well one weekend and then completely come off the boil the next," says the Canadian prop. "A lot of it comes down to the mental aspect; we just need to be more switched on. It's not that we're not preparing well, just that tiny errors have come at the wrong time and the other teams have capitalised on them."
