John Beattie's injury may not be as serious as feared
The ankle injury that forced John Beattie to leave the field in the match in Bourgoin may not be as serious as first feared.

Glasgow are already without their first choice back row unit and it was initially thought the young No.8 would be out for a while with ligament damage. But Hugh Campbell said in today's Herald: "The doctor was much more upbeat on the journey home. He will undergo further tests over the next couple of days, but we are optimistic.

"It was a real shame for the lad because he had produced a wonderfully brave performance. There is no doubt he is a player with fantastic potential and it would certainly have been a big set-back to have lost him long-term."
