Hugh impressed by his team's performance
After a week of gloomy newspaper speculation about the future of the Warriors key men, head coach Hugh Campbell was delighted with his squad's performance against Bourgoin.

"Overall, it was another disappointing campaign - but any win at this level is worth celebrating and this result will certainly stand us in good stead for the future.

"We achieved it by playing some fantastic rugby against a very, very accomplished French team and in terms of building confidence I could not have asked for more.

"The pressure was really on us when they picked up a couple of tries while we were down to 14 men. However, the response was fantastic.

"We can now look ahead to Friday's important Celtic League match against Ospreys with genuine anticipation - hoping we can keep up the momentum."

Hugh added: "Not knowing which Scotland players will be available for that match, I wanted to look at some new combinations and several players did their reputations no harm at all."
