The Scotland coach, had spoken with the professional team managers about keeping all of his match day 22 for next Sunday's clash with France out of Celtic League action the week before.
But he has left enough intrigue with some leading players being made available for tonight's final round of Celtic League games before the championship kicks off.
Glasgow are starting both Jon Petrie and Rory Lamont, and while JP needs match time after a lengthy injury, Rory's selection seems to have cast some doubt on whether he will feature against France.
Hugh Campbell, the Glasgow coach, admitted he felt Rory was "outstanding" at full-back against Bourgoin and is happy to have him available again, but it now seems as if Hadden may be looking at a back three line-up of Hugo Southwell alongside wings Chris Paterson and Sean Lamont for Murrayfield.
JP, however, has not lost hope of a return to the international side he captained before injury struck and took him out of the autumn Test series last year. He admitted in The Scotsman: "We're not too sure what the story is, but I don't think this precludes me from getting an opportunity in the 22 next week.
"I have been out injured for a long time, and am just four games back in, so I have to get as much game-time as possible. I just want to get out there and play to be honest and my focus is with Glasgow, not Scotland, right now."
JP hopes that the temporary shift to Old Anniesland tonight - the last time the Warriors played there they upset Edinburgh - can help kick-start a Celtic League comeback.
He added: "We're looking to build on things from last week's victory over Bourgoin, but we can't get over-confident from one win.
"After beating Edinburgh well, I think we sat back and thought 'everything is sorted'.
"I want the players to realise that the pressure is still on us - we have under-performed and we need to get the performances and results in the Celtic League because we should be higher up."
