Dream start for Sam

Sam Pinder had a dream start in his first game in a Scotland jersey
A try from Glasgow's Sam Pinder and two from Andy Henderson helped Scotland to a 66-19 win over the Barbarians at Murrayfield last night.

Sam was a second-half replacement for Mike Blair and the Glasgow scrum-half couldn't have hoped for a better start. Fellow-Warrior Donnie Macadyen sent Sam in for a score with his first touch of the ball in his first appearance for Scotland.

Andy Henderson also weighed in with two tries in a confidence boosting performance for Scotland before they leave for South Africa on Sunday.

There were also good performances by Scott Lawson and Dan Parks - the stand-off's pass for the arcus Di Rollo try was the classiest piece of skill shown all night. It was great to see Donnie Macfadyen back in a Scotland jersey after so long out through injury.

Glasgow's Kevin Tkachuk started for the Barbarians and made his presence felt with a few big hits, with one in particluar on fellow-Warrior Andy Henderson. Kevin - in Glasgow socks, of course - almost capped his first Barbarians appearance with a try but the ball was knocked from his grasp just as he seemed set to touch down after a typical T-Bone drive.

All the guys played well last night, however you do have to question what Hadden learned about Parks, Henderson and Lawson last night, that he couldn't have learnt against Connacht. Here's to a good summer of rugby!!
