Scotland coach Frank Hadden told reporters on Monday that Donnie Macfadyen had a painful sternum, captain Jason White was struggling with a knee injury, fullback Hugo Southwell had a shoulder and neck problem and left wing Sean Lamont had taken a blow behind the knee.
Hadden said Sean's injury was the most serious.
"We've no plans to fly anybody else in just now but we have our first selection meeting tonight and we'll take it further from there," Hadden said.
For the moment, the visitors were analysing a match they had hoped would lead to their first win over the Springboks in South Africa.
"We were too tentative, they fired all the big shots in the first 20 minutes and we didn't fire any," Hadden said.
"Our players were surprised by the pace and the intensity of their defence. We've played against rushed defence in Europe but this was faster."
Hadden said his team needed to learn to cope by the weekend. "But I think this group are quick learners," he added
Scotland are due to name their team on Wednesday.
