Discounted Season Tickets

Posted by Editor on October 30, 2006 11:59 AM | 7 comments | Print | E-mail author
Glasgow Warriors are selling discounted season tickets for the remaining fixtures in Magners League and European Challenge Cup

Adult season tickets for the stand are £90 with concessions available at £35.

Terracing tickets are £70 and concessions £30.

You can check out the details here

The Warriors have launched a new initiative for Glasgow rugby clubs - 'A Grand Scheme'.

The scheme means that Glasgow District (North and South) rugby clubs will be able to earn commission on ticket sales for the Warriors’ Magners League matches by selling match tickets through their club.

At the end of the season, the club that has sold the most tickets will be awarded £1000.

On top of the £1000, clubs will also be earning monthly money through ticket sales. The match by match commission would see clubs gaining 25% commission on sales between £100 - £200 and 50% on sales above £200.

Clubs interested in taking part in the scheme should contact the Warriors office on 01236 702 022 or the SRU ticket centre on 0131 346 5100 for further information.

Bit pricy!!! Not really much of a reduction.

£90 for a seat in the stand at nine matches? It's a helluva good price. Same price per game as it was at the start of the season.

Oh what a bargain!! To sit in the lovely, modern Hughenden stand!! I'm sure not many people will be paying that, especially not after the poor start the team has made this season. It will take more than reduced ticket prices to get people into Hughenden.

Have you been watching different games to me? I have not seen any great performances. Have you sat in the stand lately? Sorry it's great, apart from being dripped on from the holes in the roof when it's raining. The ground is a a shambles compared to some of the English Premiership teams STADIUMS!!

Glasgow Rugby's in a sticky wicket as far as a home ground's concerned.

They aren't moving to Scotstoun because of costs and a host of other issues, Glasgow football clubs don't want them becasue the SRU won't pay for grounds maintenence from the wear and tear after Friday night games.

The SRU had nowhere else to go but appear back at Hughenden with a bunch of flowers and a sorry card to the Hillhead Sports Club...Why else do you think the Hillhead Sports Club members are going through those gates on a Friday evening without paying AND geting away with it?...Ask the SRU!

It is worth remembering especially at this time that Hughenden in common with other rugby grounds in the West End was established as War Memorial Trust to remember the huge number of young men many of them rugby players who had fallen in the First World War.
