Glasgow boys on form for Scotland

Max Evans helped Scotland to two wins
Scotland finished the opening day of the Australian Sevens in Adelaide with two wins and a defeat.

The Scots - inspired by two-try Max Evans - lost out 26-12 to Hong Kong champions Samoa in the Pool D opener but in the next game two tries by Ben Addison proved the difference as Scotland edged out Argentina 24-19 despite the sin-binning of Max Evans.

A 19-7 win over Portugal rounded off the day for the Scots and looks like giving them a quarter-final match with New Zealand. Both Max Evans and Jamie Hunter crossed in the first half with Ryan Grant following suit in the second period. Ben Addison converted one attempt.
