Eddie joined Glasgow for a trial period last season but became a favourite at Ayr when he was unable to secure a contract with the Warriors. The New Zealand-born wing has been playing in Australia with Tuggeranong Vikings.
Ayr's website also reports that coach Craig Redpath has secured the services of Glasgow apprentice Willie Brown from Hillhead-Jordanhill.
