Moves to strengthen Glasgow squad

Chris O'Young will join Glasgow Warriors in the summer
Moves to strengthen the Glasgow squad are continuing with Force scrum-half Chris O'Young and London Irish prop Michael Collins set to join this summer.

O'Young, 26, from Sydney, is a former Australian sevens player, and he played in all of the Force's Super 14 games last year after switching from New South Wales Waratahs. Collins, 32, is a former New Zealand Barbarian who joined London Irish two years ago from Waikato Chiefs.

Glasgow are also thought to be on the trail of former All Black Daryl Gibson of Leicester.

Good news all round but I'd still like to see a few Scots being signed too.

Suppose this means we wont be getting Calum Cusiter then?

we still might get Calum. WE only have Bevy just now with Sam Pinder out and Bevy is leaving next season. I would rather Chris Cusiter but thats not going to happen!

Yeah sure my aussie mates say he's a bit of a livewire...but not 1st choice WF scrummy...

Why not push for Kelleher/ Weepu & even Gregan ? Agree though a strong no9 is required.

Chris O'Young is a very very under rated and under used player, you guys will be so glad you signed him. He is a very tenacious competitor, fit, tough as hell and doesn't shy away from the rough stuff either. He will link well with Parks, and perhaps give Dan the room he needs to create opportunities.

Chris O'Young is a huge boost for Glasgow and will be a huge boost to the side. He should be the first choice half at the Force and should have been retained by the ARU but I suppose that is a huge bonus for Glasgow. You will be impressed with his ability, Good Luck Chris..
