Bernie's last outing for the Pumas was against Ireland last year but he missed out on selection for Marcelo Loffreda's World Cup squad.
"It is just wonderful to be involved again," said Bernie in The Scotsman. "I have always loved playing for my country and to have another chance is a dream.
"I have really enjoyed the move to Glasgow and I have signed for another two years, so I'm looking forward to that, but I hope I can take this opportunity to impress the new Argentina coach and maybe be a part of the future for the Pumas also. I am 31, but I have experience, but who knows? I hoped to go to the World Cup, but I was not one of the names Loffreda wanted, and that's rugby. But if I play well against Scotland, then maybe I will play again."
Bernie says the Pumas are preparing for a tough encounter with the Scots.
"I think we and Scotland are at a similar stage because we both have players missing, and both have very good young players coming through. I know lots of the Scottish players and it is a very good team, and they are confident after the way Glasgow and Edinburgh finished the season.
"We are starting again with a new coach and new team, but the supporters will help us. Games between Argentina and Scotland are not pretty, but we are both very passionate; we play for the jersey and like to play rugby, and we both play for 80 or 90 minutes, so I think it will be a very good, close game."
