Evans brothers to stay with Glasgow

Max and Thom are set to sign new contracts with Glasgow
Max and Thom Evans are set to sign new deals that will secure their future with Glasgow Warriors.

The brothers were being hunted by some of the biggest spenders in Europe but it's understood that they are on the verge of committing themselves to Glasgow until at least 2011.

The Times claims the two have agreed their new deals in principle and that the lawyers are busy raking over the details before the contracts are signed, probably within the next few days.

For Max, it would seem that the new deal will be a renegotiation of his existing contract, which he signed only four months ago.

As long as the article was not written by Graham Speirs, this sounds like excellent news.

If confirmed this will be the most important bit of business done this summer. Fair play to the powers that be.

Bravo! especially in the pro era.
The Evans pay back Glasgow for the confidence The Warriors management have shown for them.
What upset me is about the front five...

Fantastic news. Looking at tonight's team we could ill afford to have lost these two. there is a bit more cover in the forwards if they all continue to develop.
