New contract for James Eddie

James Eddie has signed a new deal with Glasgow
Glasgow Warriors' 23-year-old back-row forward, James Eddie, has extended his contact with the club until 2011.

This latest announcement comes as Jim resumed full training ahead of Friday night’s showdown with European champions, Munster, at Firhill (ko 7:45pm) following a knee injury sustained during Glasgow’s historic win over Toulouse in France almost ten weeks ago.

After putting pen to paper this morning, Jim said: “I’m really happy to have signed for another two years because the club is going places and there’s a great atmosphere both in the squad and in the stands at Firhill.

“I feel I’ve made real progress in the three years I’ve been with Glasgow and I want to stay here to try and make that next step up.”

Warriors head coach, Sean Lineen added: “James is a hugely energetic player and trainer, and if you cut him in half, you’d see he’s Glasgow through and through.”

Top re-signing, Jedi has been great in the back row and can also cover 2nd row. If it hadn't been for injury, I wonder if he would be in the Scotland team by now? Certainly I rate him much more highly than Scott Gray.

But we rate John Barclay higher than Scot Gray and Hadden still saw fit to drop him for the England game

What a difference he made to Warriors when he came back from injury ..he played so well for Ayr that he could not be ignored! Funny how that 2011 keeps coming up .. Jedi will be there!!

great news, Jim's definitely been missed since his injury in Toulouse.
