Glasgow rewarded for hard work

Richie Gray impressed Glasgow coach Sean Lineen
Glasgow coach Sean Lineen was satisfied with the efforts of his players as they opened their Heineken Cup campaign with a 21-13 success against the Dragons.

Tries from Graeme Morrison and Fergus Thomson sealed the win for the home side and although they had some shaky spells, their pace behind the scrum always had the visitors in trouble.

Sean said: "We have to be happy with that performance because we have been working hard over the past couple of weeks and we knew that it would come.

"It was fantastic effort by the pack and young players like Richie Gray and Robert Harley were outstanding.

"We managed to get the tempo of the game up and we turned some of the pressure into points but you could see how anxious the players were with some of the chances we missed.

"This win makes a huge difference to our confidence going into our next match with our defence the way it was tonight and the way we controlled the contact area, we have had a big boost."
