Graeme Morrison will make his 100th Magners League start for Glasgow
Centre Graeme Morrison will make his 100th Magners League start for Glasgow Warriors when the Warriors face Llanelli Scarlets at the Parc Y Scarlets.

Although the most experienced player in terms of league starts, as of Friday, Graeme will remain just one game shy of matching Dan Parks’ all-time appearance record of 142 games for Glasgow.

Looking forward to the occasion, he said: “You never really prepare for occasions like this. The time has gone pretty quickly and you can put that down to the fun I’ve had since joining seven years ago.

“When I first started, we hade players like Glenn Metcalfe and Gordon Bulloch in the squad, and I had to pinch myself in the huddles when involved in these games.

“I’m massively proud to play for Glasgow. I speak to guys who have left the club and the atmosphere isn’t the same anywhere else. The guys have a real camaraderie, everyone gets on well together, and it’s a club I really love playing for.”

On one of the club’s all-time greats, Warriors head coach Sean Lineen added: “Graeme has been a fantastic servant to the game both with Glasgow and with Scotland. I’ve seen him develop into a class act and you won’t find a more reliable player.

“I know he is very proud to play for Glasgow. He is integral to what we’re about.”

In the pro era, it is so good to hear that some guys are really attached to their club.
Camaraderie, i remember some years ago after a pre season game V the Titans, Morrisson was leaving Hughenden with Muffle tchatting and laughing together.
They must be good friends, and i wonder why Henderson(a great servant of Glasgow and Scotland) left the club, maybe not in Lineen plans, or no money from the SRU, the same for Brown now at Saracens.
Anyway it is so promising, when you see the young lads coming with a good skill level.
But the big issue is to keep top level guys to achieve something with GLASGOW, before big offers from French and English clubs...
Come on Glasgow!
