Sean looks for a response

Sean Lineen says Glasgow's performance in Galway was "totally unacceptable"
Sean Lineen today demanded an immediate response from Glasgow when they face Newport Gwent Dragons at Firhill on Friday night.

The coach branded Warriors’ five-tries-to-one defeat at Connacht the worst result and performance in his four years as head coach at Glasgow.

That 37-8 setback consigned Glasgow to second bottom in the Magners League table, with the Irish province leapfrogging the Warriors. It was also the first time Connacht have done the double over Glasgow.

Despite being without 12 first-choice picks through Scotland Six Nations demands and injury, the furious coach has demanded his second string front up against the Dragons.

He told the Evening Times: “The Connacht performance was totally unacceptable. We are well aware the Six Nations period is always a difficult one for us such are the demands made of our resources from Scotland.

“Unfortunately, that has been compounded by injury this time and a casualty list that has not cleared from day one.

“But we had enough quality on the field to be more than competitive with Connacht.

“We are not blessed with the depth to make changes for Dragons, but what must change is our attitude, application and desire. There can be no repeat of this at home.”

A lot of these guys will have the contracts ending at the end of this season so you would of thought they would be putting everything into their performances so as to guarantee a new contract.

Glasgow should not be shipping 39 points against anyone
