Johnny Ventisei will skipper Scotland U20 against Italy
Johnny Ventisei will skipper a Scotland U20 squad containing eight Glasgow Warriors academy prospects on Friday night, as Kenny Murray's men open their 2025 U20 Six Nations campaign.

It will be Scotland U20's first outing since lifting the World Rugby U20 Trophy in Edinburgh last summer, with Murray's outfit welcoming Italy to Hive Stadium in round one.

Ventisei forms part of an all-Glasgow centre partnership for the home side, linking up with Kerr Yule in the midfield for Friday's clash.

Fergus Watson starts on the wing, with the Biggar RFC product joining Matthew Urwin in the back-line.

Joe Roberts is selected at hooker after being named in a senior Glasgow Warriors matchday 23 for the first time in Sunday's win over Connacht, with club-mate Ollie McKenna starting alongside the Aberdonian in the front-row.

Dan Halkon starts in the engine room after impressing for Glasgow Warriors A to date in 2024/25, as Jake Shearer rounds out the Glasgow cohort after being selected amongst the replacements.
