Salmon began his rugby journey at the age of nine at Hillfoots before joining rugby at school the following year. He has been selected for U16s Caledonia squad as well as U16 Glasgow Warriors and also U16 Scotland blues squad on tour. After leaving Dollar Academy, Ben started training at County and joined the Wolves squad. Most recently Ben was given the opportunity to be part of the extended Squad for Scotland 7s.
