Leinster 40 - 5 Glasgow Warriors

United Rugby Championship match played at RDS Stadium on Saturday November 26th 2022 | No comments

Sebastian Cancelliere went over for Glasgow's only score
Glasgow Warriors went down to a disappointing URC defeat to Leinster in Dublin this afternoon.

A brace from Rob Russell, adding to Dave Kearney's opening try, saw Leinster go in 21-0 ahead at half-time.

Ross Byrne landed three conversions.

Warriors, who had nine players back from Scotland camp, enjoyed enough possession and pressure but only had a second-half try from Sebastian Cancelliere to show for their efforts.

However, Leinster replacement Michael Milne bagged a 55th-minute bonus point try, and their eighth straight win of the season was completed by late efforts from Russell and replacement John McKee.

Warriors travel to Italy next weekend to take on Zebre in Parma.
