Glasgow team to take on Ospreys

Seb Stephen is in line to make his first appearance of the season
A Glasgow Warriors squad showing nine changes will run out at Brewery Field tomorrow evening, as Franco Smith's squad take on the Ospreys in their final away fixture before the autumn international break (ko 7.45pm).

After a 49-0 victory over the Dragons last weekend, Welsh opposition will once again be in store for a Glasgow squad making their first visit to the Bridgend venue since a 2003 clash with the Celtic Warriors.

An all-new front-row sees Patrick Schickerling and Murphy Walker pack down either side of the club's newest centurion, with Johnny Matthews having made his 100th appearance for the club by coming off the bench last Saturday night.

Alex Samuel returns to the starting lineup in the second-row, starting alongside former Scotland U20 team-mate Max Williamson in the engine room.

Euan Ferrie is the only member of last week's starting pack to retain his place, shifting to blindside flanker in a back-row completed by Angus Fraser at openside and the returning Matt Fagerson at number eight.

Jamie Dobie reverts to scrum-half after starting on the wing last time out, with Adam Hastings - who needs just 13 points to reach 500 in a Glasgow jersey - continuing at fly-half.

Sione Tuipulotu resumes his partnership with Stafford McDowall in the midfield, the latter returning to the starting XV after being rested for last weekend's victory over the Dragons.

Ollie Smith moves to full-back to accommodate the return of McDowall, whilst Kyle Rowe and club captain Kyle Steyn complete the back-three.

Scotland U20 standout Seb Stephen is in line to make his first appearance of the season after being named amongst the replacements, the hooker joining Nathan McBeth - himself returning from injury for a first outing of 2025/26 - and Sam Talakai as the front-row cover.

Jare Oguntibeju comes back into the matchday 23 to wear the number 19 jersey, as Alex Craig rotates to the bench after making his debut last time out.

Macenzzie Duncan covers the back-row in a six-two split of forwards and backs on the bench, with Ben Afshar and Dan Lancaster continuing as the back-line reinforcements.

Speaking following selection, Head Coach Smith told glasgowwarriors.org: "We were pleased with the result last weekend, but know that there is still plenty for us to build and improve upon as we move forward.

"The Ospreys have shown so far that they can pose problems for any team, with a squad packed with talent across every position on the field.

"They showed how proudly they defend their home record by shutting out Zebre last weekend, and we know we will need to raise our level to meet their challenge."
