March 01, 2025Glasgow Warriors 31 - 32 OspreysUnited Rugby Championship match played at Scotstoun on Saturday March 1st 2025 | No comments
![]() Patrick Schickerling went over for two tries Glasgow Warriors lost out to Ospreys at Scotstoun this evening with the visitors snatching the win with the last kick of the game. Glasgow looked like they'd secured what would have been a fortunate victory when Duncan Weir converted Nathan McBeth's 79th minute score and after making mess of the restart, they gave away a penalty and jack Walsh made no mistake from the tee to give Ospreys a deserved win. Tries from Morgan Morse, Kieran Hardy and Sam Parry gave Ospreys an early commanding lead, but the three missed conversions from Dan Edwards failed to press home the advantage. Glasgow clawed back into the game with tries from Jack Mann, Patrick Schickerling, who grabbed a double, with Ospreys grabbing another score through Keelan Giles. When Facundo Cordero put Glasgow in front for the first time after the break they switched off again and Hardy touched down to restore Ospreys' advantage. Nathan McBeth's try and Duncan Weir's conversion looked to have snatched victory for the hosts before the botched restart allowed Walsh to make the winning kick. After the match Glasgow head coach Franco Smith: "We are always going to be disappinted with the defeat, but they showed character with the way they came from behind and stuck to the process. "They did themselves proud with the number of players we were without tonight. The victory would have been good, but they will learn from this."
