Glasgow's Jason White found himself on his own in the back row when Andrew Mower and Simon Taylor were sin-binned early in the first half for taking players out but he still showerd up well. Hooker Gordon Bulloch made Scotland's only real break on the day but was hauled down short of the line while Glenn Metcalfe made some great tackles but was unable to stop Jason Robinson when he found himself one-on-one with the former Wigan player.
Metcalfe said: "He is a scary guy to play against. He is explosive and you don't know which way he is going to go.I think the only way to stop Jason in a situation like that is to read his mind. He is a scary guy to play against. He is explosive and goes from zero to 60 in no time. He has a low centre of gravity and leaves it really late before deciding which foot to step off, so you have to try and guess which way he's going, or you just hope hes going to go the same way as you."
Scotland play Italy at Murrayfield next Saturday in their final game of this seasons championship, but most of the attention will be on the Grand Slam decider between Ireland and England in Dublin on Sunday.
