Jason White, whose contract with the Warriors expires at the end of the season, has revealed that he could be leaving Hughenden. It is understood that Glasgow have made him an offer, and he has not accepted it, but there is room for further negotiation.

White said: "The situation is being discussed at the moment, but my immediate future is unclear. I have a lot of things to think about - especially deciding what is the best for me. All my options are open. You have to consider the balance between playing for your country, which everyone here is so proud to do, and becoming a better player and becoming the best you can in what is a limited life-span."

Sale Sharks are thought to be in the running for White's signature in a move that would further swell the large Scottish influence at the club. Budgets at the SRU are under pressure and Glasgow may not be able to offer the same financial terms that Sale can. The departure of White would be a huge blow to Glasgow coach Kiwi Searancke and his plans for next season. Searancke has made it clear that White is one of the few players that he inherited last summer who measures up to his requirements. Searancke made White captain when Andy Nicol failed to command a regular place in the starting lineup.
